ASHICO LOGISTICS BECOMES A FIATA MEMBER!

What is FIATA? Founded in 1926, FIATA is officially known as the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations.

Currently, the Federation has about 40,000 members in more than 150 countries. In addition, with a history of 92 years of establishment, FIATA is currently serving as an advisor to the  Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (including ECE, ESCAP, ESCWA), the United Nations Conference United Nations Commission on International Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

FIATA is recognized as the representative of the freight forwarding industry by many government organizations, government agencies, and private international organizations in the transportation sector such as:

• International Chamber of Commerce ICC
• International Air Transport Association IATA
• International Railway Union
• International trucking union
• World Customs Organization WCO
• World Trade Organization (WTO)

Activity content

FIATA is committed to representing the interests of its members by actively engaging with the World Trade Organization, UN agencies and other international organizations, transport organizations, partners in the world, and the government to promote and protect the interests of forwarders, research, and improve delivery measures, order and procedures to improve the efficiency of forwarding services, and provide professional training at the international economy level, strengthen the coordination relationship between forwarder, shippers and carriers.

FIATA's activities are also approved by many sub-committees including:

• Subcommittee on law, documents, and insurance;
