Founded in 1926, FIATA is officially known as the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations.
Currently, the Federation has about 40,000 members in more than 150 countries. In addition, with a history of 92 years of establishment, FIATA is currently serving as an advisor to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (including ECE, ESCAP, ESCWA), the United Nations Conference United Nations Commission on International Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
