ASHICO LOGISTICS BECOMES A MEMBER OF VLA!!!

Working in the field of Logistics, surely all of us have heard of VLA. So what is VLA?

VLA or Vietnam Association of Logistics Service Enterprises (VIETNAM LOGISTICS BUSINESS ASSOCIATION) was formerly known as Vietnam Freight Forwarders Association (VIFFAS). This organization was established under the Official Dispatch of the Government Office on November 18, 1993.

VLA can be called a network for forwarders in particular and businesses operating in the field of logistics in general. This organization mainly engages in consulting activities in the field of freight forwarding, warehousing and freight organization, participating in international organizations in the logistics field.

SO WHAT WILL MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS WHEN JOINING VLA? BELOW ARE SOME BENEFITS:

1. To be protected by the Association for the rights and legitimate interest in their activities in line with the duties and powers of the Association. 
2. To be provided with information for organizing and working for developing the fields of the freight forwarding and logistics of Viet Nam, or to share professional information of the organizations which VLA is a contracting party or associated member, such as FIATA/IATA/UNESCAP/AFFA/GMS … for the purpose of regional and integration.
3. To take part in conferences, seminars or training courses on professional skills and expertise relating to the activities organized by the Association, such as participating in paid training courses hosted by the VLA Logistics Institute and/or the concerned Ministries/Agencies (according to FIATA training programs).
4. To participate in all activities of the Association; to request the Association to act as an intermediary, or to advise on issues under transaction or study.
5. VLA Members shall be allowed to use FIATA Bill of Lading Forms (FBL) which VLA is authorized to issue in Viet Nam under the serial control by VLA. Please refer to the Guidelines on printing and use of FBL as attached below.
6. VLA Members shall be introduced by VLA to be a member of FIATA, if they wish to be, by a way of certifying their applications for FIATA membership according to FIATA regulations.
